Blue Mountain’s plan to keep the books dry

Blue Mountain Primary recently installed these new structures to hold learner’s school bags. When winter comes, they’re going to help a great deal in keeping the bags and books ‘high and dry’. With many of our schools, these seemingly trivial things can make a world of difference

Oom Loekie lends his support

Oom Loekie van Wyk is DSF’s face at the schools and does a wonderful job supporting and encouraging staff on a weekly basis. Here he’s visiting the principle’s office at Kersboslaagte.

Peace and quite

With Simonsberg and the Hottentots-Hollands Mountains looming in the background, students from Kersboslaagte  take a short cut home via the rugby field. What a privilege to be schooled in a safe and peaceful environment like this. One can almost not imagine they’re less than 50km from Cape Town city center.
